About $150

That's how much money is there. You'd think I was trying to plan a fun trip or buy something really cool, but I'm not. The main reason why I collect change in a big glass container is because I think it looks neat as part of the decor (don't laugh; it's true). Plus every couple of months it's really fun to dump all the money out and count it (again, don't laugh; all true). And did I mention that I break dollars at the store just so I can have more change?

P.S. Kim, this is about two years' worth of collecting. Kincade and I could go to Europe in forty-three years.

Yes, because you're my favorite. Or because the list is reverse alphabetical.

I wouldn't count the money because I hate the smell of pennies and nickels. Dimes are acceptable. The others smell too much like a playground.

And yes, I have your address. Remember when you sent me that cute Christmas card? I was smart and kept your address. Or did I?

You're a way better coin saver than me.

Seeing your big jar of coins is probably what made me think about my coins and decide to cash them in. Thanks for helping me realize that the trip to Europe would never work out.

greets - emily hess from freshman year, don't be freaked out.

A lot of people are going out of their way to collect pennies, since the price of copper is going up so much, the copper in a penny is worth more than 5 cents if you were to melt it down! And it's forcasted to keep going up!
So maybe you'll be going to Europe sooner than you thought.
